The Stawell Harness Racing Club and its facilities are recognised as a key piece of Stawell's infrastructure due to its central location, proximity to the town centre and the diverse user groups it services.

Over its 65 year history, the Club has grown to become one of Victoria’s premier harness racing clubs. The Club offers the complete package of racing, wagering and dining as well as function and corporate seminar facilities. The Club conducts nine race meetings throughout the year including high profile feature races honouring past contributors and its December Cup race meeting as part of the Country Cups Carnival.

The Club, as a pathway to developing it’s long term strategic and master plan, have undertaken an investment management logic mapping exercise. This process serves to clearly align vision and risk appetite with desired changes and potential solutions to overcome barriers in achieving vision and long term sustainability.

With stakeholder consultation, a comprehensive and evidence based plan to undertake the ongoing maintenance, renewal, rehabilitation and, where necessary, upgrade of the Club’s assets, is to be put forward. A three year Club Strategic Plan has been developed with a statement in relation to how associated goals will be achieved.
